hiatus is a music label presenting a unique auditory and visual experience. It focuses on discovering original, pioneering localized and marginalized music, emphasizing both technology and culture, and seeking future sounds from historical trajectories. Hiatus presents unique sounds and combine them with cutting-edge technology for audio-visual interactive experiences, while also exploring the cultural and social backgrounds behind the music from a researcher‘s perspective.

The design concept for the hiatus label originates from its exploration of sound, ranging from field recordings of natural sounds to different emotional spectrums hidden deep within music, and even the ancient historical and social cultures embedded within. We aim to use powerful, mysterious, and primitive visual elements and imagery to present these marginalized musical trajectories, showcasing a unique texture where power and fluidity coexist.
